Not what I was expecting.... The bag was small no pockents and thin material. Did do what I need it to do. No worth the $$Hard to find a perfect bag but this is close enough! By MG_CA
I love this bag! This had been in my wish list for a few months and in between that time, I've purchased other ones and really couldn't find the "perfect" one. Including another version of this Otium tote. That tote was ok. I didn't like the handles as they weren't rolled in. Having a rolled handle (which this one has) makes hand carrying a pleasure. I got most of what I want from this bag: removable shoulder strap, handle that drops at least 8 inches to carry over/under shoulder and plenty of organizational pockets. The bonus part for me is that the side pockets are big enough so I can put a bottled water up to 22oz bottle.
The front pocket is convenient too. The insides has 6 pockets (1 zipped) + 2 pen holders. The largest pocket inside can fit an iPad vertically, even with a semi low profile case, the zip pocket is approx 5x7.5. There are 3 pockets that are about the 3.5x5.
I am able to fit my 14 and 15.6 laptop and still have room for a full size padfolio, my iPad, notebook, couple of books, chargers and cables. Big enough for everyday use and makes a pretty good travel/weekender bag. I never have all this stuff in one bag but it's not that I could. I can even fit a lightweight windbreaker too :-)
Some complain about it being small or big but the size noted in the description is correct. So measure before you buy! The material is heavy canvas and seems to be well made and sewn well. The lining inside is nylon and it's not waterproof. If it rains, the nylon part will buy you sometime to get to your car :-) There is a lack of padding/protection for your laptop but having a laptop sleeve will help cushion it. The bag arrives in time. Pretty basic bag but enough to pack my daily stuff. Also a good travel bag. Simple and Nice.
