This a very nice case! I needed a 17" laptop case with several organizational features. I researched & shopped for 2 months before I decided to get this one, & I am soooo glad I did. I ordered mine in the brown, & it is a beautiful chestnut color. The wheels are a very, classy silver, & roll really smooth compared to previous wheeled cases I have owned. The various pockets, compartments & slots keep me from having to dig in the bottom looking for my cards, pens, etc. And a 17" laptop "does" fit nicely in this case. The design of removing the case from the wheeled cart is simple, fast & easy. The telescoping handle adjusts to a taller height then most (I'm only 5'1", so this is comfortable for me). Also, whether the case is empty or loaded, it will not tip over. The craftsmanship of this case is exceptionally sturdy.....i.e., heavier duty zippers, stronger seaming, quality construction, etc. There are alot more features.....too numerous to mention all. If you look at images 2,5 and 12 starting from the first left, Amazon depicts as if there are two types of detachable wheel and handle systems for this leather bag - one a hard plastic-back wheel and handle system and another a soft leather/rubber-back wheel and handle system. However, the product comes only with the hard plastic-back wheel and handle system, which juts out so much towards the back that you cannot place this bag with the system on top of another wheeled luggage and roll them together. Also, there is no 'smart strap' on the back of the hard plastic-back system that will go through an extended handle of a luggage below, unlike the fictitious soft leather/rubber-back wheel and handle system shown clearly on image#5. This means you have to detach the wheel & handle system and leave it at home if you plan to move this bag around by placing it on top of another luggage while you travel. And at your destination you lose the ability to use wheels because you couldn't bring the wheel & handle system with you.
I have written to Amazon about this discrepancy of pictures but I do not see any response. Please don't get misled by those pictures like I did. Buy McKlein Roosevelt instead if you want the ability of mounting the laptop bag on top of another wheeled luggage without removing the wheel & handle system.Wonderful laptop bag. By Ladyphoenix
I have been using this bag for several months and have had no problems. I'm in AZ so haven't had to use it's "raincoat" but it's nice to know it's there. Laptop, files, small ring binders and office supplies fit well in each compartment. It is also expandable if I need to add more items. Very well made and the leather is strong but soft. I have received many compliments. Would have liked this in red but brown is ok. I would not hesitate to purchase another from McKleinUSA if the situation arose.
