Truthfully, I chose this particular bag, in the blue, because it nicely matched the rolling shopping bag I was also purchasing--a completely goofy reason to select a bag.
Now, about the bag: it rocks! The inside of the bag can hold an amazing amount of groceries. The outside pockets are great for carrying those immediate need items when riding the bus. The straps are easily adjustable making it a great choice for shopping--I can lengthen the straps to a decent length to allow for carrying the bag over my shoulder, and over a winter coat; and I can easily shorten the straps so that I can slip them over the expandable arm of the rolling cart.
There is a feature to this bag that I didn't see in the description (I purchased this bag from another on-line vendor): If you look at the bag, you will notice that the base is black. Well, that black portion of the bag is an amazing little find: it is a padded, dare I say insulated, pocket about 3 inches in height. I've used this pocket for stuffing my daily work items to allow for more room in the rolling cart; and I've used it to stuff full of frozen veggies.
The only oddity about this bag is the little bag hanging on the outside. It doesn't work, for me, for a coin purse; nor does it work for keys. I'm sure that it's useful for something; I just haven't figured that out yet.

I purchased this as a beach bag to take on vacation with me. I have a couple differnt bags of this type but this is the only one with a zipper, now it is the only one I use. It keeps items where they belong. The adjustable straps are great.Exactly what I was looking for! By Fran Toro
Love this tote. I use it to take things back and forth to work for my day as a nanny. Has all the outside pockets I need plus room for craft projects, books and my lunch. I even used it as a beach tote on a recent vacation. Highly recommend it!
