I'm very pleased with this bag. It has become my everyday bag because it organizes my things so well. The back wall easily holds a Nexus 7 and Kindle paperwhite. My Android smart phone fits easily in the RFID pocket and the other side pocket holds my reading glasses and pens. The main compartment is spacious. I have an old zipper pouch that holds loose items (lipstick, hand sanitizer, hand cream, etc.), and a large wallet that both fit with room to spare. How much room? On a recent event, I had all these items in this bag plus a full size DSLR camera with an 18-70mm lens--a snug fit, but there was still space to stuff little things if I had to. This little backpack is a workhorse. The Herringbone version looks fabulous.
UPDATE: I stated this has become my everyday bag. I've since bought the Slingsafe 100 also by Pacsafe and that little cross-body purse is my everyday bag! When I need to carry more than my Kindle, Nexus 7, purse, lipstick, pen, and keys, this sturdy little backpack is what I reach for.Holds everything I need for a whole day By Rebecca
I take this *everywhere* that a backpack would not be considered inappropriate. Maybe I'm just anal about not being caught without something I might need or want. But if I'm going to be out and about for more than an hour, I like to carry: tablet, phone, Kindle, umbrella, sweater and big bottle of water in addition to wallet, glasses, keys, tissues, compact and lipstick. ALL of that fits easily into this backpack. I'll sometimes stick a small bit of cash into the front zipper pocket if I don't think I'll be needing my wallet or electronics for a bit.
Note that the sweater is thin and light, not bulky. But still...
I had most of those things - minus the tablet, Kindle and umbrella, but with the addition of two rain ponchos - in a big shoulder bag that I carried it all over Disney for two days. That's what made me go looking for the backpack. Otherwise, I would have been tempted by one of the nicer shoulder bags by this same company.
But my shoulders and back were so sore that I knew I needed the more even distribution of a backpack. And the first time I put it on while full of my things, I knew I'd made the right decision.
I'd never liked the idea of a backpack before. One, I thought they were a little messy looking and Two, I thought it was too easy for someone to take something out of it without my knowing since it was behind me. But this has the extra zipper lock and it looks trim and neat. I also like that the inside isn't black because it makes it so much easier to see what you've got in there.
I love this bag. The only minor complaint I have is that the straps don't stay where you adjust them to. The buckles just slide too easily up and down them. But it's so quick and easy to fix, it's not that big of a deal. I would recommend this bag to anyone who is traveling around even for a few hours in their own hometown, but definitely to someone who is playing tourist. I purchased this backpack along with the Slingsafe 300 GII for my niece to choose which one she would like the best. My sister in-law saw this one and liked it very much. She said that it was just the right size for what she would use it for. I gave it to her as a gift. She especially liked the anti-theft features of the backpack.
