This backpack was one of our grandson's favorite Christmas gifts. It's sturdy, dinosaur-like qualities suit his tastes and rambunctous character perfectly. It conveys just a hint of "don't mess with me," though the spikes are filled with soft fiberfill. That's not a bad message for a 5-year-old in a world of MUCH bigger children. It holds everything he needs for all-day Kindergarten and will not get mixed up with anyone else's generic backpack. My mom sent these to my kids (6 & 9) for Christmas and we are all really impressed. It looks like the pack might be made out of leather, not sure on this. the material is very high quality. The construction is really really good. Its got a nice padded back and a buckle in the front to cross the chest. At first i thought the price was high but then again you cant see on here how nice the material is and the quality craftsmanship that's put into it. Well worth it. My kids LOVE these bags!!! And its just in time cause their cheap backpacks i got them at the beginning of the year have fallen apart already and its only been 2 grading periods.
