Easily carried all work, papers and notebook required. However its not the lightest bag and did get very heavy very quickly. Will need to plan what to take to reduce weight. Wife loves the bag and takes it everywhere, even to local work (no travelling required) because its well laid out inside and carries everything nicely - looks great.
