Makes Air Travel Much Easier By djb
My family travels quite often. We are not business travelers. We are "vacationers." So, when we fly, we usually have big, full, and heavy bags. With airlines charging for each checked bag, we try to use as few bags as possible. But, there is also a 50lbs weight limit to luggage. This scale enables us to fill large bags and easily weigh them before getting to the baggage check in at the airport. It gives me a great deal of piece of mind knowing I have maximized my luggage space without being in jeopardy of an extra fee for a bag that is over 50lbs. I used to stand on the scale at home and then lift the luggage while standing on the scale to see how close I was. Now, it is easier, but the best part is that the luggage scale is small enough to take with you. Have you ever weighed your luggage with a bathroom scale, went on vacation, bought some souvenirs and then wondered if your bag that was once under 50lbs was still under 50 lbs?
This particular model works very well. It is digital and it has a locking feature that locks the weight in after a short time so you don't have to lift and look at the same time. It also has a small tape measure so you can make sure your bags fit the carry-on size limit. I have seen other luggage scales that are not digital. They may be cheaper but it is hard to hold the luggage still enough to get an accurate reading. I try to get so close to 50lbs I want it to be accurate.great scale By Dawn
This is a great scale to own. you can tell by the sound it makes if your over weight on your luggage. only downside is it is larger then I thought it would be, so it takes up a little more room in the luggage when I travel.Luggage weight By Gloria Patterson-Cuervo
I always weigh my suitcases before a trip, but I am always concerned about the weight coming back. This solves my problem. It also includes a tape measure.
