I bought this bag for my Samsung NC10 notebook. The notebook fits perfectly in the bag without the Samsung sleeve. However, it's a little bit of a tight fit with the sleeve on. I like that there is a zipper on this bag. From the description of the product, it wasn't very clear if the bag actually had a zipper. It's a straight zipper that's hidden down below the handles. One thing I'm concerned about is the weight of the netbook relative to using the cutout handles, which are very stretchy. I haven't used the bag much, but it seems like the handles could possibly rip if it's primarily carried that way. My netbook weighs about 2.8 pounds, but that doesn't include the battery pack. Fortunately, there is a shoulder strap that seems a little more secure. However, the fasteners for the strap are small plastic rings, and the clips attached to the strap are also plastic. I don't know how these plastic parts will hold up in the long run, but I guess I'll find out. The material itself is thinner than I anticipated. I'm not sure if it will adequately protect my netbook from bumps and dings, but it's not like I'm going to be swinging my bag around. Overall, the bag is really cute and certainly eye-catching. It definitely has orange overtones (the inside is solid orange) and purple undertones, so if you aren't entirely crazy about those two colors, you might want to pass on this bag. I haven't tried putting the battery charger in the bag with the netbook, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a noticeable bulge. But other than that, it's a unique and colorful little bag that I would purchase again.Snug & Secure Fit for my Samsung N120 Netbook and Kindle! By pixels and bits
I can't tell you how delighted I am by this sassy little bag that snugly houses my Samsung N120 netbook! If you don't know, the N120 is one of the larger netbooks and I was concerned when I ordered this bag that it may not fit. I was very gratified to find that not only does it fit snugly and securely on its own inside this bag, but I can also slip my netbook into the black security envelope it came with and still fit it in this bag! As the material is flexible, it easily stretches to conform to the size and shape of what you put inside. However, I don't think it will accommodate a netbook much larger than my N120 (11.9 x 9.6 x 5 inches) very well.
There's a separate compartment housing 2 pockets for accessories. My battery and cords would likely fit, though they would cause an ugly bulge! They do fit other items such as a digital camera, iPhone, Blackberry (any cellphone, really) or even a USB 10-Key number pad. On a recent trip, I used the bag as a purse alternative and easily fit business cards, ID, credit cards and money into these pockets. I can also easily slip my Kindle in with my netbook (in the compartment with the device, not in one of the pockets) and carry both over my shoulder in one attractive and secure package!
There is an adjustable shoulder strap that is also removable. While the clasps for this strap are plastic, it seems to be a strong a durable plastic that has shown no signs of weakness. It is also comfortable to carry this bag by the reinforced sewn-in handle though it feels a little stretchy (which can be a little disconcerting at first). The inside compartment is secured by a strong zipper that runs the length of the bag. As my laptop is one of the larger varieties, I make sure I am careful when navigating around the zipper at insertion or when zipping it closed, that I don't scratch it. I don't mind this small responsibility and figure that my careful attention is the least I can do to protect my investments! When I am also using the black padded envelope that came with my Samsung, this becomes a moot issue.
The material is the same material they use to manufacture wetsuits. I love this as it provides a moisture barrier for your machine and other contents in the event of rain or an accidental spill. (It would NOT protect against submersion!) I would also imagine that it is fairly stain resistant. The material provides soft, thick and lightweight cushioned layers of protection for your valuable electronic items. They offer this bag in several other colors and patterns though I personally love the micro-dot!
When I took this bag on a trip recently, it easily fit down inside my backpack. In fact, it was also extremely easy to remove it from my backpack by virtue of the handles sewn in to the top. In my opinion, this bag is an ideal alternative/replacement for any padded sleeve/compartment that is intended to be inserted into any other bag whether it's a backpack, briefcase, purse or eco-friendly carryall. This bag delivers a lot of protection, versatility, good engineering and a dose of personality while adding very little weight to your everyday load. It's machine washable, lays flat when not in use and could easily be rolled up for storage.Great bag By boomer
I bought this bag for a 10" netbook. I love it. It has two pockets inside for the accessories and the netbook fits like a glove. I wanted something fun and lightweight and this is perfect.
