Great Cover for 16" By Randishan
I purchased this cover for my Toshiba 16" Satellite laptop. It has a great fit, very snug with extra room on the corners for additional protection. The pattern is bright and looks the same as the picture. The cover is a little thinner than I expected, but it does seem durable and reminds me of wet suit material. A bit slower on delivery, took the maximum estimated time. My only con: my laptop with the sleeve does not fit into my carrying bag. Even though the sleeve is thin, it does create a bulkier outline, so be prepared if your carrying case/bag/satchel is already snug.

I originally bought this bag for my upcoming overseas trip; however, after using it for a while, it's now my go-to bag! It's very well organized with three openings that have locking mechanisms. There is also a side pocket on each side of the bag; one side can hold a 16 oz water bottle (or even a 20 oz soda bottle but may need to squeeze in), the other side can hold cell phone, Blackberry, or iPhone. A magnetic flap is the only thing holding it down here, so it can be stolen. You may want to put it inside the bag where it's more secure and yes, there's a place for it inside the bag!

This bag is lighter than I expected. It's slash proof (with chain link) and the strap is cut proof (with wire insert). It's very well made with a lot of details but very simple in design. Carrying this bag in a crowded place is one less thing for me to worry about pickpockets. All in all, a great bag to have. Highly recommended!

PS - I also own Travelon's anti-theft backpack which is lot roomier and with all the same safety features.

I'm an 80-year-old grandma preparing for a sight-seeing trip to Rome with family. In case my arthritis begins to slow us down, I plan to take a folding cane in my bag, along with the other essentials.

Upon first receiving the Travelon Anti-theft Messenger Bag, I found it was not tall enough to zip when holding my folding cane. I searched for a replacement with the same great features but a few inches taller, the Messenger bag being about 11." The Travelon Anti-theft Travel Bag is represented as 20" x 5" x 14," so this was my next order.

Unfortunately, this bag is only 10" tall, 8" wide, and about 3" deep at the bottom. I'm very disappointed to have to be returning merchandise that was advertised incorrectly. A large Tour Bag that was on my wish list has now been removed from Amazon's offerings, so the search continues.

If you are looking for a large travel bag, don't be fooled by the dimensions given for this one.

Good luck to any pickpocket trying to get into this bag. Not only do you have the slash proof shell and the adjustable cut proof strap, the zipper locks were hard to open, which is exactly what I wanted. Of course, you do not have to lock every zipper, just the important ones. This bag, along with my RFID wallet, will make my traveling worry free.

This is my 5th Kipling bag. I like the color, construction and durability of these bags. This is a very large bag for a medium. So, it is helpful that the inside is lined with a light colored fabric so you can always find what you are looking for. There are lots of inside pockets and places to put your cell phone, pens and other miscellaneous but important things you don't want to lose track of in the bag itself. The bag is very large and holds the usual-wallet, checkbook and small cosmetic case. In addition, often when I'm shopping, I use my Kipling bag to take my purchases; it really is that large. The bag comes with a nice long shoulder strap that you can wear across the shoulders, but I tuck it in the bag and just use the handles, which fit over my shoulders. The shoulder strap is not set-up to be removable.
I bought this bag from a supplier that works with Amazon.com. The shipping was excellent (I received it within a week) and so was the price.

unexpected poor quality By White Flower
I have loved Kipling bags, the Europa being my favorite..but I needed something bigger so I asked my personal santa to get me this kipling adara. My other Kipling bags were tagged made in china and the quality is outstanding..the Adara that I received just recently is tagged made in thailand and there is a big difference in the quality. The crossbody strap has marks that looked like it was squished between something heavy and dirty, both the crossbody and shoulder strap rubs painfully on my skin because the ends of the stitches were burned making it hard and sharp, the metal hardware and the monkey chain has scratch marks that looked like its been rubbing on each other (like when you take it off and put it back on a lot of times..), the key ring inside the bag gets stuck, and a portion of the lining inside w/c did not meet and is not sewn together. The poor quality of this one was really unexpected and I am really disappointed.

I had been looking for a bag that was big enough for gym clothes and not entirely unattractive. I own another Kipling as an overnight bag therefore I was certain the quality would be good and that the bag would be durable.

I got the bag in a reasonable amount of time and when I got it I could not help but notice that the bag looked noticibly smaller than the dimensions listed. I checked and I do not believe this to be the sellers fault because the bag is listed with the same dimensions on the Kipling website. However for future buyers the dimensions listed are measured across the widest part of the bag which is the top. In my experience most bags are measured across the bottom, no matter which is the widest part. I believe it is listed as 20 inches wide, but it is actually more like 15 inches wide measured across the bottom (without laying it completely flat which is the only possible way they could have gotten the listed width of 20 inches).

I decided to keep the bag because even though it is smaller than I thought it would be, it does fit everything I needed to get into it without being cumbersome. It also is small enough to carry everyday, with no gym clothes, without looking bulky. I am very happy with my purchase and if the dimensions had been as advertised I would have given it 5 stars. Also I love the little monkey, it adds a bit of whimsy to my day.

I bought this bag for my couple week backpacking trip in Europe and I loved it! I almost caved and brought my rolly bag but this was significantly easier to maneuver through the European streets (We did a lot of walking), comfortable and it fit a lot! This is medium sized backpack perfect for school or urban commuter. I HAVE THE BLACK VERSION. The 'laptop' pocket is NOT padded and cannot hold a business sized laptop. iPad in a bulky case? Yes. EeePc? Yes easily. Macbook Air in a case? About the size limit. Normal sized 12" laptop? Not without protection. The laptop sleeve has no padding. It is a large pocket the width of the backpack and runs to the bottom. (Its not suspended). I use it to store bulky stuff I don't use everyday (Umbrella, small bag of toiletries) -- essentially a divider.
The inside front panel has a large pocket; not quite as big as the laptop pocket due to the back to front taper, but sizeable nonetheless. Attached to this pocket is a zippered pocket about 3", 2 pen sleeves, and a 2" pocket.
The outside front panel is a huge pocket which has a zipper tucked under the left edge. The top of the backpack has a small pocket just in front of the handle which holds a decent amount of knickknacks or a small mp3/cell phone (iPhone won't fit). Two elastic water bottle holders are found on the right and left sides of the backpack. To give you an idea of the capacity if this backpack, you can store a 12 pack of soda inside with a liitle room to spare.
The nylon is lightweight and is a little stiff; makes crinkely noises at first (once the nylon relaxes, the noise is gone). This is not a heavyweight backpack -- It's not flimsy either. Stitching looks good, no loose threads. The bottom of the backpack is not reinforced or waterproofed.
On the whole I like this backpack as a commuter bag. Has enough pockets to store stuff used daily without the bulk or weight of a laptop backpack. It sits nicely on the shoulder and is compact enough to be unobtrusive.

I bought this to use as a day pack while traveling in Korea. The package came in about a week, (to an APO address). I used it the first weekend I got it for a three day trip to Seoul, and I just about fit everything I needed in here, and probably could if I had left my Laptop! It works great for day-day use, and is pretty well made. The material has been pretty good about keeping some light rain out. Also, I love the logo, but I wish it wasn't there so that it would be With-in military regulations to wear everyday to and from work.

Seems Smaller than 17in laptop By JB
I bought this as a replacement for my 3 year old Swiss pack that the zipper broke. The backpack seems smaller than the other one I had. It does not have enough small compartments for me. I use mine for international travel and keep business cards, hotel cards, memory sticks, money, and other little stuff that I want to keep seperate but accessable. Overall made well and may hold a 17in laptop but it will not be great for a week or two of travel. I like to keep extra stuff in case my luggage is lost. Overnight would be fine. Overall quality seems good but not what I was looking for size and compartment wise. The smaller size might work good for someone else.
I bought 17in Sierra at Costco for $38 (great deal and good quality) that is bigger and has better small compartments for me.

Good Backpack, Inaccurate Description By Troy E. Brown
This is a very well made backpack that I got on a goldbox deal for $50.

However, the #1 feature listed in the description above and on the tag attached to the backpack is an "Audio Interface". The card describes this as "internal pocket to secure and hold most MP3 players with an external headphone port".

I've been all over the backpack, but there is not an external headphone port. I also went to the Wenger site and it makes no mention of the "Audio Interface" in the description of this model.

Took away a star due to the bad description but it's not a deal-breaker. Still a very nice computer backpack.

Why a vertical zipper? By Bernard K
I would give it a 5 if it was not for a vertical zipper on the front pocket. For me, the vertical zipper is a bad design because you cannot stuff anything in the front pocket for fear of it falling out when you unzip it. The bag is sturdy and the compartments are well designed otherwise. The airflow system on the back is a good idea.

Perfect in size and ready to travel By Holly
I am thrilled to report that this item was well received by myself as well as the travel companions of my Tour through Italy. It is perfect. the locks will keep anyone at bay, they are tricky, and require two hands, so there will be no pick pockets comng my way. To prepare for the trip I am wearing the bag a few days before hand, and it has been fine so far. The strap does not slip, it actually is quite comfy.... comes across the body, without any issues.... I wish they had it in a Camel color... but perhaps next time they will consider it. Lots of pockets to put things in, and for someone who loves to organize, this is a great asset. Also, a small light is included, which was a nice touch. The intertior compartment is large but will keep your netbook in place....
I was able to pack my IPAD, cell phone, camera, tissues, and a few extras along with my passport, credit cards, sunglasses and such ... really a great purchase, and peace of mind. All I hear about is the pick pockets in Rome and Naples... so I didnt want to deal with a belt that calls attention.... Hope this helps others
Oh and I think someone mentioned that the velcro is tricky... they must hae revamped it, since the velcro is on the front panel in a triangle shape, keeping it away from your garments and holds the flap securely... plus there are other zippers with clever locks underneath. It is a perfect bag for those who want to travel without worrying....

This is a great looking and functional briefcase. It's made from high quality leather with double stitching and looks very professional. From an appearance standpoint, looks like a bag that would cost 2-3 times more. Plenty of space for a laptop, files, and office supplies. The pockets are gusseted which helps with organization and it stays upright when placed on the ground (things that seem minor but from past experience make a big difference). The customer service is fantastic, I had an issue with the shoulder strap and they sent a replacement immediately with no questions asked. Overall, really pleased with this purchase and recommend it without reservation.

This briefcase is made of fine leather, look as though it is much more than what you pay here on Amazon. It is absolutely beautiful as well as spacious.

I do not recommend the BLACK VERSION for professionals as the white stitching is unsightly, tacky and frankly quite cheap looking.

The brown is superb, however. Indeed, it's a classy shade that will age well. Overall, it's a timeless design and I have received many compliments since walking around with this thing.

This handbag is the first I've found that fulfills ALL of my needs. It has the capability to expand, so for a daytrip to NYC I can carry a bottle of water and a mini umbrella, and it has a long enough strap to be worn diagonally for security. For daily use it has all sorts of compartments to organize all of the things a busy mom needs to have at her fingertips - cell phone, ID and credit cards, checkbook, datebook, etc.- without being cumbersome. It's also small enough to fit inside my bookbag when I'm off to work (professor). I also purchased a buxton bag, but it was too 'floppy' and it had a tendency to sort of collapse and things would fall out. The material of this bag is stiff enough to stand up and pliable enough to be convenient. Finally, I love the color. It comes in tan and black, I think, but the eggplant is a bit fun and different.

The bag is attractive, and the multiple compartments, within which one may stow eyeglasses, a mobile phone, and the like, would be quite convenient for travel. I would use it as an 'everyday bag' were it not for two drawbacks. First, for all the ingenious design, there is no 'built in wallet' with convenient access to notes and change - and that is my primary need day to day. Second, the main, middle compartment is open at the top, and anything placed within it could be easily lost or swiped. That same compartment contains the removable key chain - odd, since I cannot imagine anyone would want keys to be in an open section.

I still will give the bag four stars, because it is a fine value at the price, is available in various colours, and could be convenient for travel, with ample space for one's passport, phone, glasses and the like. I am only disappointed because I actually was looking for a bag for daily use (and finding multi compartment bags which are compact and colourful is often a futile task.)14 of 14

Excellent Notebook case for my 18.4 inch widescreen By Angela
After researching almost a month for a case which would fit my huge 18.4 inch HP HDX 18t notebook, I stumbled upon this one. After reading another reviewer's post that it fit their large laptop, I decided to give it a go. Looking at it on Amazon, it didn't really look that great in the photos. But for the price and reviews I ordered it. When I opened the box I thought "wow this is nice, but it will never fit." I was wrong. Not only did it fit like a glove so securely, but it has several compartments for the power cord, battery, external hard drive and extra mouse I also use. Also my widescreen notebook slides nicely into an included removable protective case which comes out to store it so well. I am extremely happy with this case. I suggest it for notebooks with up to 18.4 screens with plenty of extra room for all your goodies. Very nice professional look. You won't be sorry if you buy this bag.

I am very happy with this case, it fits my Acer 16" notebook snugly, so its a perfect fit. I gave it 5 stars for this, but if you have a 17" notebook, I'm not sure if it would fit because mine fits so tightly. But again, I don't know for sure. It's comfortable to wear over your shoulder or to carry as a briefcase, and the strap comes off if you don't want to use it. I am very happy with this purchase, it does everything I need it to.

I had a Vera Bradley bag previously and it was in great condition. This one when it arrived looked good, until I started to put my items inside of it. When I was doing this, I found a string to be already coming off of it. Thankfully it was not a seam string or it would have been really bad. However, inside one of the side pouches the bag had fabric unattached just hanging there not even sewn in which was really disappointing.

Overall I am happy with the bag, but these are two issues of quality which I would think would have been caught.

I have several pieces of Hartmann luggage and have found them to be reliable and long-lasting. Have used this bag on several one night trips already and was not disappointed.

The only improvement I would suggest would be to fix the handle - it "cuts" into your hand a little and is uncomfortable. Older packcloth pieces had real leather handles that were rounded and easy on one's hand when carrying.

I love this purse! It's the pur-fect purse for me. I owned the exact same purse in the smaller size and wore it out so much I had to take it to the shoe repair place to get it stitched! I wouldn't be without it!
But, finally I decided I needed the bigger size and got it. It's so wonderful. I wear it crossways so that I'm hands free, secure and it is easy to open and get to anything I need with only one hand. Everything is in it's perfect place and I can get to it without even looking.
I love Travelon; own MANY pieces of their items, but this purse is by far the best one for me. I LOVE the super strong magnetic closure, and how sleek and slim it looks. Most people are amazed at all that I can fit in it. Please don't ever get rid of this design!

I have owned 4 different Travelon bags -- one exactly like this and then three others in the smaller version. I keep coming back to Travelon because they make the best cross-body travel bag I have found. However, on every single Travelon bag that I've owned, the stitching that holds the straps in place has come apart. In one case, I had only used the bag for a few days on vacation when one side of the strap came completely detached from the bag. I had to find a safety pin to keep it in place for the duration of my trip. I was fortunate that I happened to notice the detached strap before I lost the entire bag, along with my passport, credit cards, and other important travel documents. After trying other smaller Travelon bags and experiencing the same problem with the straps, I decided to upgrade to this bag, which I like much better for the larger carrying capacity. I've had it for approximately 2 years and have used it on maybe 4 vacations. I thought that I had finally found a winner because this bag seemed more durable than the smaller version and it was actually holding up over time. Well, this last vacation, I noticed that both straps are starting to separate from the bag. I've taken it in to see if it can be repaired, only to be told that it needs to go to someone who works in upholstery because the fabric is too thick for a regular sewing machine. I am very disappointed, as I love Travelon bags and keep having this same problem. Travelon really needs to work on quality control and reinforce these straps. If you do not carry a lot of stuff and hardly put anything in the bag, it might be okay. But if you're like me and carry the typical vacation stuff like a camera, small wallet, sunglasses, a pack of gum, and other small necessities, you may very well experience the same detaching strap problem. On another note, Travelon does have a one-year manufacturer's warranty. I'm well past that period, but at least there's some protection available for those who might need it.

I've watched this bag for some time, waiting patiently for orange. I think I was the first to get this color when it came available, because I was backordered for a week or so. My only trepidation, with all of the safety features, I feared it would be way too heavy to travel with, light traveler that I am. Was I wrong! The weight is perfect. The safety features are perfect, big enough to carry everything I need for a day's wandering the streets of Athens or Rome or little Sicilian villages--Kindle, guide books and maps, just-in-case rainponcho, water bottle. RFID blocking keeps passport and credit cards safe. Locking zipper and slashproof sides and adjustable strap, just enough pockets to find stuff in. An outside water bottle pocket would be the only improvement on perfection I can see. And the orange is the purse-nappers-wouldn't-dare orange that goes with everything else I travel with.

It worked fine and I don't think I could find anything closer for what I needed. I wanted it for my ipad (which was a tight fit even with a close fitting cover on the ipad) wallet, lipstick etc. My husband carried the camera in his pacsafe bag.

The crossbody /fabric/all worked great. I loved the security of the strap that could be attached to chairs etc. It was the best I could find but not exactly the size I needed. Close enough. Definitely a travel purse though-not enough style for around town.

This diaper bag is everything I needed. It was not huge and bulky like a lot of diaper bags are. It can be a backpack or it has a shoulder strap and mine even came with stroller straps to attach it to the stroller! That was a HUGE bonus! I highly recommend this diaper bag! It is very pretty and very well made. Originally, I thought the material was thin, but when I got it, it's actually pretty thick and strong. I love the structure of the bag. It offers tons of room inside, more than enough for me, while doesn't seem bulky or anything. I love the different ways to wear it. Now I wear it mostly as a backpack, but I keep the messenger strap on, just in case I need to wear it that way. Love it!

I absolutely love this bag! I read other reviews about the "pinching" straps after I had already ordered it, so of course that was the first thing I tried! I had no issues with straps! My baby-sitter has had no issues either, and we are very different sized people! I also read that another user had issues with the pockets on the inside not holding bigger diapers. I have hot had that problem either! One of my children is a size 6 diaper, and it held that diaper in the pocket just fine! I also use cloth diapers for my younger child, which are bulky to begin with, but I have had no problems fitting those in the pockets either. I love that I can change the size of the bag to give it more room when I need it, and less when I don't. The only thing I dislike about this bag is the "mommy" pocket isn't big enough to fit my normal sized wallet, and other essentials in. That isn't a huge deal to me though! Overall I love this bag!

I have had the Targus rolling notebook backpack for almost 1 year and use it every week to carry my laptop, work papers, lunch, snacks, etc to the office. I commute by train with 10 to 15 minute walks through suburban and city streets on either end. I've taken it through rain and snow and it still looks new and keeps everything dry. It's taken a lot of abuse over this time but the wheels still roll smoothly and it is easy to get over curbs. Other reviewers mentioned inadequate laptop padding but I've found that my laptop is well padded against normal bumps and jostles. It holds quite a lot and is good for day trips. My only somewhat negative comment is that if you are petite, you will not be able to comfortably use it as a backpack when fully loaded. Larger individuals will not have a problem with the weight when using it as a backpack and pulling it is no trouble regardless of your size.

A compromise between backpack and rolling case. By Scooter
When I selected this bag, I thought that I would switch between rolling and backpack functionality regularly. However, this hasn't turned out to be the case. For a backpack, this is a very heavy bag. Also, once you stow the straps for rolling, it takes a few minutes to free them up again.

From the rolling perspective, the stowed straps can sometimes get in the way.

For it's size and weight, it doesn't have that many storage areas. I am a traveling technologist and I carry a lot of small devices and cables, in addition to my laptop. With this case, I've had to dump most of these in the one large compartment.

And very annoyingly, one of the rivets holding one of the wheels on has broken through after only 4 months of regular use.

My advice: if you primarily roll, get a rolling bag. If you primarily carry on your back, get a backpack.

I was looking for a reasonably-priced unit that could double as a carry-on bag for the stuff I really do not want to check as baggage. The Targus TSB700 15.4 Rolling Notebook Backpack looked like it would work. I recently used it on a week-long trip by air. It held all the laptop's gear in its many compartments. All the items I usually put in my standard carry-on more than fit in the separate center compartment. I was able to leave the carry-on bag at home. The stuffed-full bag fit in the overhead compartment and under the seat of a "real" airplane, but not overhead in the small commuter planes. During my 3-hour lay-over at the airport, I could easily drag the bag around. The backpack is comfortable to wear. (I am not young and athletic!!) The wheels roll very easily, and the shift from wheeled bag to backpack is quick and easy -- like when I had to grab the airport bus to change terminals. Access to the laptop is easy, since you have to pull it out every time you go thru security. It was particularly nice to be able to pull out the laptop and its inner padded carrycase (included) when I had to check the bag at the airside at the last minute on a crowded, teeny little commuter plane.

I looked at comparable units that were advertised as weekender computer cases. Most were not backpack-convertible. All were much more expensive. I am really happy with my purchase.

I was looking for a purse that I could carry but also use for my iPad. I was worried this would be so big I wouldn't want to carry it, but it's perfect. My only suggestion to them would be a small closure to keep the iPad pocket closed when the iPad is in it. It doesn't fall out, I just wind up sticking my hand in that side when looking for other things.

I love love this bag. It is great strong fabric and everything fits. I always want my wallet to match my bag perfectly and I like that there are several options with Sherpani to do this. There are 2 things I don't like about this purse though:
1. It is not washer/dryer safe: I was hoping with the fabric being as it is that I could just throw it in the washing machine if it got dirty, but the tags say not do to that.
2. It picks up every single piece of dirty everywhere! Maybe it is the Moss green color and I should have picked the blackish one, but every day I come home to see I've collected more dirt! And stain remover sticks don't seem to help. And (see Item #1) I can't just thrown it in the washing machine!

I LOVE the style of this bag but it's too narrow to use on business trips. I've been using this bag about 6 months now so here are my pros and cons:

Pros:
- Lovely style - very chic, very professional. Leather doesn't scratch like other bags I've had.
- Nice long straps - easy to put over your shoulder. Also has a little wrap on the handles that snaps and holds handles together so they don't fall off your shoulder.
- Outer pocket large enough for phone charging cable, lipstick, keys, etc. Snaps into place so items don't fall out.
- Holders inside for pens, post-it's, business cards, etc.
- 3 sections inside; center section is padded and zippered.

Cons:
- Length of bag won't accommodate laptops w/ large screens. Be sure to measure your laptop before you buy this!
- Width of bag doesn't accommodate much. I was able to get my laptop and one text book in there. Might be enough for some people but I'm used to having wider laptop bags.
- Height of bag perfect for my size of laptop.

If this bag was about 2" wider it would be perfect for me. But because of its beautiful style, I will still keep this bag for quick trips back and forth to the office. I'll just need to find another one for longer business trips.

I own a different McKlein product - the rolling briefcase, so I am fully aware of the product quality. That level of quality is exactly why I decided to get the McKlein shoulder bag. I was satisfied with the construction and size but the shape was too boxy. Great compnay and products, but this one was just not for me.

I received the rolling laptop bag quickly and it was in perfect condition. I have received countless compliments on it. It is small enough to fit under your desk, in the front seat of your car, or overhead on a plane. It is large enough to fit my laptop, iPad, clothes and shoes for one night or two. Excellent, long lasting everyday bag By William Che
This bag will last forever! I had used it daily for the last 10 years carrying a laptop, notebooks and an insulated lunch bag. The fabric used to make this bag was very tough and it resisted all kinds of stain and daily abuse from the NYC subways and buses. The only thing that did not survive its 10 year journey is the shoulder strap. I replaced it last year because its metal hinges finally gave out after years of heavy lifting.

This bag is very comfortable to wear. It can be worn messenger bag style, or like a backpack. There is even a comfortable handle on top to carry it like a suitcase. The inside is very roomy and there is a zipper along the edge that you can unzip to give you twice as much storage. There are plenty of pockets inside and outside the bag to hold misc small items and magazines.

I'm giving this bag 5 stars. Even though I had to replace the shoulder strap, I could not fault the bag nor MP because the original strap lasted almost as long as I had this bag! As of this writing I no longer have this bag because I gave it away to someone who needs it more than I do. I am very impressed with the quality and build of this bag and I will even venture a guess that this bag will last through another 10 years of daily abuse in someone else's hands.

I originally purchased this bag in 1989! Before you could make it into a backpack. I loved it I used it loyally for almost 10 years ! Then it was stolen. So I decided to try other makers & bag styles. After another 10 years I went back to Manhattan Portage. Sorry to say that the bag has gone down hill.

Minuses
The 2 pockets under the flap are smaller and taper in at the bottom. The zippers are all not as "butch" which worries me but only time will tell. I'm glad that the expansion fixture is unchanged it was why I bought the bag 20 years ago and why I bought it again. The webbing underneath the expansion zipper was wider which gave the bag better shape both expanded and un-expanded.

Pluses
The new small pocket at the top of the bag is great for phone or mp3 player. I wish it was lined with a softer fabric. The strap seams stronger and better padded and the plastic clips have been replaced with metal (the plastic clips are the only thing that ever failed on my old version).

I did the inflation calculation and the bag I got in 1989 would be about $160 now which I would pay if it was of the same quality. This bag is about right at $115.

Well...it didn't come with anything cool inside of it but that's my only gripe. I mean, if I owned a bag company I'd put a mystery prize in every bag...a deck of cards, a scarf, whatever. Anyway, I thoroughly review EVERY product that I purchase. Its really a bad habit cause I spend way to much time shopping for stuff like socks. That being said, this was no different. I spent a few hours researching and looking at every shoulder bag I could find on Amazon and various other sites and in stores. I settled on this bag cause I liked the style, size, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive and useful. Been using this for about 4 weeks and its very stylish, well-made, and it has a lot of pockets with zippers, buttons, etc. You can't go wrong with this bag and I'd be surprised if it didn't last me 10+ years.

After carefully contemplating its purchase for a few months, I decided to buy this bag. This bag is soft to the touch, durable, easy on the eyes, and sophisticated- as another reviewer pointed out. I commute and take my bike to work, and this bag has been a fine companion on my journeys. I needed something to carry small books, glasses, cellphone, iPod, water bottle, gloves, and other small items. Inside you'll find two small compartments within which you can setup your phone and other accessories. You'll also find a compartment which you can use to stow a small book or tablet, and right over that, you'll find a small zippered pocket which comes in handy for items needing easy access. In addition to this small zipper, you'll find zippers on the outer part of the bag; both under the flap and the posterior part of the bag(closest to your body). The quality is excellent. One fantastic quality is the fact that the more you use it, the better it looks. This is thanks to it's distressed construction. I've really grown to love this bag and I would happily recommend it to anyone who's contemplating buying it.

Just returned from a 2-week trip to Europe, and this purse was perfect. My passport, phone, camera all fit fine, along with tissues, gum and lip balm. Plus my money and credit cards were all secure. Some of our visits to historical sites wouldn't allow for big bags, but this one was always allowed without a problem. The cross-body feature made if feel safer as well. Everything about this case is first rate. It holds quite a bit of what needs to be carried, between laptops, iPads and documents to review at home or at a remote office and looks great in the process. This is an good gym bag. I'm glad I didn't go with the medium size because the small is large enough as it is. I carry 2 pairs of shoes, sweatpants, various lifting equipment (belts, straps, etc) and have room to spare. I only wish that the shoulder strap was adjustable to a smaller length. I carry this bag on my back when I bike to the gym and the bag hangs down around my rear rather than on my back. However if you don't bike with your bag then this shouldn't be a concern.

I use it for my swim bag, about 2x a week. The bag is large enough to carry my towel, kick board, pull buoy, shoes, change of clothes, etc. I especially like the ventilated side pouch for shoes, I throw my wet suit into it when I'm done. Material seems very durable. The description says "small duffel", I would consider it large. It would work well as an overnight bag or carry on for the airplane, for the overhead bin.

So I am 5'1" and this bag was so heavy for me! I needed a bag for my big computer, and this one has space in it, but it was very stiff and hard to carry. I returned it. its pretty and just as described, I was just so uncomfortable carrying it after one time trying to use it I gave up. it doesn't have much space I it if you leave the laptop sleeve inside, only enough for one notebook and some pens and small items. I had to put my charger on top of the laptop and notebook or it would fit in the bag. the side pockets dont give at all and are very stiff- it's hard to put anything inside them and once you get something inside then you cant get your hand down the side to get it out! I did like that the bag zipped all the way down the side so it was easier to get the laptop out, but my laptop is only 15" and it barely fit inside. I was disappointed and will try a shoulder strap bag instead after this heavy thing! pretty bag though...just not what I thought it would be.

The bag is beautiful, item as described. However after two business travel trips, I have noticed some of the red Italian Leather coloring has come off. I am not sure now to correct this problem, but I am trying to use the bag gently and was disappointed after only two travel trips the bag is already showing signs of usage.
