This messenger bag was the perfect gift to myself. It is stylish with lots of places to store the daily needs of a busy mom. Many people have commented on the artwork on the front, the straps
are wide enough that they do not cut into my shoulders, the material is pleasing to the touch and the seams are well sown. This bag is used on a daily basis and has taken the place of all of
my purses. The one thing that i would change is to add an outside pocket specifically for a cell phone with easy access.This bag is awesome By Just ask me!
There are many, many, reasons why I consider this to be the ideal bag. It's a little creepy, in fact, because all the limitations of my other bags are addressed in this one.
There is an open pocket on the body side, just the right size to make a magazine or newspaper easily accessible. Then there are two zipped pockets, one on the front flap which just fits my Kindle Fire, in its folio case, and a smaller one, towards the top, to hold writing implements, because that newspaper I mentioned earlier has a crossword in it :)
The main compartment, which closes securely with the flap's buckles, is just the right size for a laptop, and/or some file folders. When it also has to hold snacks or a dead-tree book which isn't a thin paperback, the compartment is expandable. It also has a full-length zip packet with a key clip.
Finally, it's pretty, and the colors and artwork make it distinctive in the sea of black bags out there. (At least until your friends admire it and have to have one too!)2 of 2 not that special By nyc commuter
I bought this as a commuter bag. It has a lot of room, but is a bulky thing. I don't like the clip straps which hold the bag closed. They are too hard to work and take too much time to close securely. Someone can easily reach in the side of the bag without my knowledge. I use mass transit and don't need to worry about whether someone is trying to rob me.
If you want this as a book bag it's fine. But as a commuter bag, forget it. It seems too delicate to handle any of the elements and since it's easy to reach into, someone will definitely mug you.
And the lack of a pad on the shoulder strap is just annoying.
