Product Description:
Designed by special operations combat veteran, Kyle Lamb of VTACTM, the RUSH 12 was created because of end-user input. Its large main compartment has a pocket that will fit most sleeved laptops and the bungeed cinch top will keep any load in place. Two mesh pockets on the inside of the main flap hold computer accessories, electronics, binos, and other smaller items you want readily accessible. The 12"H x 9"W x 1"D Admin compartment on the front of the pack opens wide and has slots and pockets to organize smaller items, plus two key keepers and a large internal zippered pocket. Web platform on the outside of the compartment allows you to add 5.11’s SlickStickTM pouches for even more gear capacity and the 2" x 3" velcro patch is great for flag or unit patches. The 5"H x 8"W zippered pocket above the Admin compartment is a handy spot for radio, phone, travel documents, energy bars, and smaller gear and is also covered with web platform and a velcro patch for your nametape. Two compression straps keep everything snugged closer to your body for comfortable load management. We also tucked our zippered fleece-lined eyewear pocket on top, just behind the heavy-duty grab handle. Dual concealed hydration tube ports are located to the sides of the handle. Both sides feature top-to-bottom web platform, allowing you to attach a host of different 5.11’s SlickStickTM accessories. The hydration pocket that will accommodate bladders up to 60 oz. The extra padding on the back panel promotes ventilation and the anti-skid pads help keep the RUSH 12 in place. Tri-glide fasteners at the bottom corners allow the addition of a waist belt. The padded contoured shoulder straps have four rows of web platform and the sternum strap can be adjusted to four heights. Excess webbing can be gathered at the bottom of the straps with our elastic keepers. Two 3/8" grommets in the bottom panel allow water and debris to escape. We also added four attachment points for 1" webbing to the bottom.

Best Light Carry Out There! By John Runion
This bag is so well constructed that I really forget about trying to baby it. It's stitching and molle system is just awesome. I typically carry on any given day as part of my EDC:
Maxpedition Triad Admin Puch (See my review for that)
Klean Kanteen w/sleeve
Macbook Pro 13-inch
Droid X
Adventure Medical Kits Ultralight and Watertight First Aid (Custom)
Olive Green Shemagh
Paclite Goretex Shell
Frontier Pro Water Filter
Platypus 3l Collapsable
Platypus 100 oz Hydration System
Smith Pocket Knife Sharpener
RAT 3 Fixed Blade
That is just a light carry...weighing in around 10pounds or so...If I really cram it in there I can hold SOOOO much more and then some. The great thing about this bag is its small size, it is very un-assuming and can easily be carried without allot of fatigue. The harness system and yolk around your neck is probably one of the most comfortable systems I have ever used and I am a total gear and bag junkie so that is saying allot.
I just got the 5.11 Bail Out Bag and will be switching the Rush twelve to my primary Day Hike and Bug Out Bag using the the new bag as my EDC (I carry to much crazy stuff to work)...I will leave the Rush twelve safely in my car for use if the SHTF. I have had allot of bags and this is up there with one of the best I have ever owned.Best EDC Work Pack By F. G. Orr
Years ago I switched from using a brief case to a back pack for daily use at work. I'm out and about quite a bit visiting clients and like to have my hands free. This is the first time I have found a back pack that is close to perfect.
This bag is not to big and fantastically organized so that everything has a home and I still have a large main compartment for my computer (12" screen when not plugged into a dock), journal and paperwork. In particular I love the mesh pockets inside the main compartment which really help to keep stuff organized and out of the way and the admin pocket. The workmanship and materials are also top notch, so I expect that I will be using it for years to come.
A couple of tips / ideas that I have which may be of interest are as follows:
- I keep a light gortex jacket tucked away in the hydration pocket. It provides additional padding for my back and is out of the way and readily available in case of rain.
- This pack is not designed as a computer bag. Therefore, I have incorporated a neoprene computer sleeve to protect my computer in the main compartment. I've also placed a wide Sam Splint (which fits perfectly)on the bottom of the main compartment for added protection when setting the computer down. The Sam Splint also acts to keep the computer off the bottom of the bag and thus dry in case its put down on something wet or something spills.
- for quick access pens fit perfectly in the molle webbing on the outside of the admin pocket
- I've added a mini screw carabiner to the molle webbing above to admin pocket so that I can attach the cord pull from the top pocket to it. This insures that the top pocket cannot open accidentally or to easily. You could do the same thing with the admin pocket but one semi secure pocket is fine for my use.
- finally I've added a maxpedition mini rollypolly (which fits up to a one quart nalgene bottle) to the side to carry water bottles etc. as required.
I'm very happy with this pack for my every day use and would recommend to a friend. The Perfect Backpack By Eric-with-an-H
I've had my Tactical Rush 12 for about a month , and I can say that I will not be needing another backpack for the next 10-15 years. I ride a motorcycle to work everyday and I wanted a backpack that wasn't bulky and fit well against my back during my commute. The TR 12 is the perfect backpack for daily use and a commuter backpack. When I ordered it I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be big enough for carrying my everyday things, I was pleasantly surprised that the TR 12 easily fits my 15inch Macbook pro, various notebooks, computer charger, bike lock, and much more. The zippers and straps are extremely well made, and the stitching is very high quality.
The TR 12 fits great against my back and the shoulder straps distribute the weight very well. I can have this on my back all day and it wouldn't be a problem. I know paying around $100 may seem a bit excessive, but this will be the last backpack you will ever need to buy.
