Bought this to protect my macbook while on business. I took a lot of time researching and looking through options on both amazon and luggage.com and finally settled on the Codi. I love this bag. I've had these before and loved them. They hold up extremely well, even with my old 10 lb brick of a laptop. When I needed my own (rather than corporate owned) I bought this one. The pockets are very nicely arranged. The shoulder strap has a grippy surface on the pad so it doesn't slide off. It's incredibly light and yet seems to offer good protection. I used my old Codi Diplomat with my old heavy computer (it really weighted 8.5 lb and had a 1.5 lb power supply) for four years, doing a fair bit of travel, and never had a problem. I wouldn't subject it to the gorilla test in the old luggage commercials, but it certainly protected the computer in the occasional drop off the desk. Light is important, my desktop replacement in this bag weighs the same as a lightweight laptop in most other bags.Great Bag holds alot! Top Quality By ryannkc
I have had other CODI products and this one doesn't disappoint. The bag is high quality and I really love it. I travel extensively for work so I know good gear and this is a great piece especially compared to other cases on the market. It has 3 zippered compartments and holds a lot of items. My case gets quite heavy and holds more than any other briefcase I have owned. The first pocket is great for easy access and small items, the second fits the laptop and all the accessories including my GPS. The 3rd zippers fits files and catalogs. All the Zippered pockets are easy access and its no trouble to find items. I love this case!
I really like the CODI brand, it was my first briefcase (which I still have and use but looks a little worse for wear).
The only negatives I can think of is the front tiny pocket is to small and items fall out, I use it for my pen and Bluetooth headset only. I doesn't hold much more than that. The CODI cases used to be made in the USA and this one doesn't have the MADE IN THE USA tag so I assume like most companies this is made in Asia somewhere. I wish this was more apparent. My third complaint is so minor most wont notice but the hooks where the shoulder straps will only fit the shoulder strap. I wish this wasn't the case, I prefer D rings so I can clip other items to them. There is really no where to chip my carabineers to
