I chose this model for long bicycle rides on gravel roads and it perfomed optimally. The reservior shifts some of the weight lower on my back and nearer the hips, which reduced fatigue on my shoulders. The side pockets allow for easy access to food or other items normally stored in back jersey pockets (although I was still able to reach into the back pockets of my jersey, surprisingly). There is a small pocket on one of the chest straps which also allows for easy access to small items while on the go. I highly recommend the Octane.Great for Active male By Clair K.
Bought this for my husband who is very active. He was very impressed with the product especially since the last Camelbak he used was when he served in the military years ago. Held liquid very well and he loves the ability to remove the bag completely, fill and then place in the backpack. He is 6'3 and very muscular and the bag fit him well. He had no issues with the straps or fit during use.
