Disappointing features: telescoping handle is attached on the inside of the case and only to the back leather part of case not a metal / hardened backing, making it pull outward on the leather case giving the handle a floppy / wobbly feeling when trying to direct the case into different directions other than going forward. Handle can be hidden inside of case via a zipper closure; however, with this, when using the pull handle, the back part of the case is pulled open and if it is raining, the rain gets down inside the case. The umbrella holder (one of main features I liked) is not long enough to hold a mid-sized umbrella and still zip case closed (holding pocket inside is mounted too high). I will have to buy one of those very small compact umbrellas less than 9" long in order to get it to fit & zip. If the lining inside the case gets wet, it leaves a bit of a water stain. The front area to hold pens, computer disc, jump drives, etc. could use a few more smaller pockets to hold more of the smaller items typically carried in a mobile workstation case. May not be ideal for carrying another case on top due to how the telescoping handle is attached to the leather case. Telescoping handle pictured is not same design as one I received. One I received - the handle tends to hang up when either extending it or lowering it. There is a zippered pocket on the very front outer side of the case; however, with the leather 'lip' over the top of the zipper (probably to give it a sleeker look than having a zipper showing) makes it difficult to get things in and out of the pocket. Overall - I think it could have been designed for better long term use by incorporating some element of hardened backing / framing, especially since this case is meant to carry a 17" laptop which can be heavy all by itself, let alone adding any folders with paper, desk supplies, power cords, water bottle, etc. I just don't think the pull handle design will allow this case to hold up well over time because leather stretches and that is all the handle is attached to.
Nice features: Leather quality seems very good. Wheels roll smoothly and quietly. Lots of 'luggage' type options for the person who travels, wants to keep a change of clothes with their carry on luggage as well as their laptop. Does hold a 16 oz. water bottle in the back storage area (same area that pull handle attaches to the case). There is a handy additional insertable canvas material case for folder files, which if you are a traveler, can be removed for more clothing and carry the insertable case separately. I could not tell by the picture that this section of the case was a removable case, I thought it was a 'built in' folder file area.A little disappointed By Smokey Joe
This is the third of this same model that I have purchased over the last 7 years. The first one had a problem with the wheels. I thought I could replace them but upon closer examination I found out that would be impractical because of the riveted on type construction. I could have retruned it to the manufacturerer for a warranty repair but I would be without it for too long. The leather held up well.
The second one deloped a crack in the handle plastic wher you grip it. THis made me a littel nervous about travelling with it so I ordered yet another.
The last one seems to be just like the first two but it appears to have better wheels but the handle is the same. I don't care for the coarseness of the zippers and have noticed that they tend to zip apart when they should be closed.

I've fallen in love with this bag. Good, strong construction. Nice, attractive leather finish with plenty of pockets and space for laptop, accessories, and clothes storage for 1 or 2 day trips. It has saved me loads of time by avoiding baggage check/pickup delays (and potentially having checked luggage damaged or lost). Recommendation: Buy.
